Châpiteau des arts du cirque, Montréal, Québec

The main system includes an underground tunnel for heating or cooling the fresh air, reclaim coils, hot and cold water coil and an ice bank to meet the cooling needs in the performance hall. The implementation of the BAS system was especially challenging as it had to meet low energy consumption requirements. This included dealing with both demanding sun loads of large glass areas combined with large groups of people who are constantly are on the move. In addition excessive noise was a concern and low velocity volume control ensured comfort while maintaining minimal background interference.
